Production
This is how it was set up for my podcast
I am hoping to have it all come together by taking parts out from multiple takes and cut them together, I will also hope to add music in the background to make sure there is a nice fun atmosphere.
I will be using two Rhode mics and a zoom mic, I plugged the zoom mic in and me and Faye used it, i then had a table and had a rhode mic either side with jade and kailey on.
To edit all of this together I used a programme called adobe audition.
I done multiple takes so I could find the best possible audio and also to mix answers up from the podcast, it would also have given me a lot of audio to work from so if there was any mess ups through out recording we could find parts that had no mistakes in it.
I decided to use the zoom mic and rhode mics as I had used them in the past and had good experiences when working with them, I also felt it would give the best audio in the long run.
I got some feedback on my podcast
Luke- Natural, didnt feel scripted, it was planned out, kept the guests under control, funny, it felt like an insight to the subject, loved the sound track, it made me laugh and smile, it was relaxing, maybe next time treat it like a video if you tell us about a band add a snipet of their music
Chad- Enjoyable, factual, stuck to your structure
I added the audio (green) the intro music (purple) and the backing music (yellow)
I had to cut the audio using the razor tool so then I was able to adjust the voices sepratley due to some being louder than others, I then adjusted the intro music so then it didnt drown out the dialogue.
When editing this I decided to add in some music in the background to give it a better atmosphere and to make it more enjoyable to listen to.
The only problem I encountered while doing this was that when I exported it, I encountered an error with the audio which was there was no dialogue at all. To solve this I reopened the software and re-exported it making sure everything was selected.

You need to explain in more detail:
ReplyDeleteHardware recording: How you used the Zoom (set up) and microphones, what problems you encountered during recording. Did you record any Foley? Did you do retakes / edit these?
Software: what you did at each stage. What the layers represent, how it mixed down, talk about EQ and any FX you used.
